Turning the window spaces of Chalton gallery into two vitrines
as a setting for 3 replacement-artists to perform inside.
The stages existed as a closed space between the street
and the gallery, where an exhibition was taking place.
The windows were covered in mirror film which reflected
the street back at the audience, which was disrupted
intermittently by the artist when studio-lights were triggered,
cancelling the mirror effect and providing freeze-frame
images of the performers for the audience outside.
The song "Zip-a-dee doo dah" (Phil Spector, 1962)
was played on loop on a record player for the performers..
